The Parks & Gardens UK archive provides freely accessible, accurate and inspiring information on the UK parks, gardens and designed landscapes and all activities concerned with their promotion, conservation and management. Additional information and new sites are added as information becomes available.
This website has no statutory authority with regard to planning or other permissions, nor is the inclusion or absence of a site any measure of its historic significance. If you would like to contribute, please contact us.
The PGUK archive has records of almost 10,000 historic designed landscape sites and over 2,400 biographies of associated people and organisations. Donations will help us continue the development of the archive to ensure that historic information regarding parks, gardens and designed landscape across the UK are available for future generations. Its wealth of historical and cultural data makes it a unique and highly useful tool for those interested in the UK’s rich garden and landscape heritage.
