Henry Ernest Milner was a landscape gardener and civil engineer active in the UK and abroad in late-19th century. He was born in Liverpool, England on 18 April 1845, the son of landscape gardener Edward Milner (born 1819, died 1884). After an early career as a civil engineer, Miller joined his father's landscape design practice in the 1870s.
Milner designed gardens in England, Scotland, Denmark and Sweden, and was author of The Art and Practice of Landscape Gardening (1890) which drew heavily on his father's designs. Milner died on 10 March 1906 at his home in Norwood, England and was buried in Darley.
